Life is changing so much! Here's what's new...

Liz came to visit me, and in a moment of spontaneity, I pierced my lip...(she pierced hers too)

It's called a monroe, and I love it.

In the past month, I've worked close to 200 hours, seen Donald Miller, Derek Webb, Andrew Peterson, and looked at a lot of apartments.

Here's what's coming up...
1.) My best friend forever is moving here with me in three weeks. We signed the lease on our duplex yesterday.

Ours is the one on the right. We move in the second week of June.

2.) I have two job interviews this week. I had one today to be the new body care buyer for my Whole Foods store. I have one tomorrow to be a customer service supervisor for my current team. I was recruited for both positions, but have to go through the interviewing process anyway. I should know by the end of the week which job I'll be accepted for, and then I'll have to decide which one I want.

3.) I leave for Michigan in two weeks to be home to pack up my belongings still in storage, spend some time with my family, watch my brother get married, and drink some good northern beer.

4.) This whole time of being in the south has challenged me to become more honest with myself and other people. I can honestly say that I don't know if Christianity is true (and I'm okay with that bothering you), but I hope it is. I don't know if what the Bible says about Jesus is true, but I hope it is. I don't know if a community exists that can walk in the freedom that Christianity is supposed to provide, but I hope there is. I'm okay with saying it because I'm tired of pretending that I know what I'm doing or that Christianity makes sense to me. I don't, and it doesn't. But I hope it will.

Having him (and Lacey) here was great... I wish they could live here with me.

Daniel and Me

This my brother Daniel. He and his wife are coming to Memphis
next week to visit. I'm pretty excited.

I just want to share with you all that I spent Valentine's Day selling and wrapping flowers to the poor, huddled masses of men in Memphis who waited till the last minute to get gifts.
Who would have thought it. The up-part? I got to keep the wasted flowers at the end.

Friends...Here are some exciting updates.

1.) I got a promotion at work. I'm doing guest services at night and also working on a special inventory team. Wild Oats/Whole Foods is wonderful, and I really, really enjoy my job.

2.) I'm meeting lots of new people. I met a lady yesterday who makes her own kombucha and kefir and invited me to come to her house and help. Plus, she owns a donkey and lives in the country. Besides that, I get closer to people every day in a way that enriches my life.

3.) I visited a new church on Sunday. It's classic Presbyterian liturgy with modern worship, and I really like it.

4.) Holly bought me a George Bush out of office countdown calender, and now I start every morning with a laugh.

5.) Things are good.
